- What you did, and what happened instead of what you expected

- Roughly how many memories your export holds, and how many ZIP files it arrived in
Please do not send your memories or your export. Nothing about helping you needs them, and this app exists so that your archive never has to go to a stranger.
The app says some memories were counted but not included
Memories kept in My Eyes Only are counted in Snapchat's own index but are never included in any export. Amber shows you both numbers rather than quietly displaying the smaller one. Nothing was lost in the rescue, and there is nothing further to download.
The app says one of my export files is missing
That is a different message, and it means something different. Large exports arrive as several ZIP files, and Amber can tell when a whole stretch of your history is absent rather than scattered individual memories. Select all the ZIP files together when importing. If one never downloaded, Amber names the dates it covered so you know which to fetch again.
How do I get my export from Snapchat?
In Snapchat: Settings, then My Data. Two switches decide whether you get anything useful: "Export your Memories" starts switched off, and the date range has to be set to All Time or you receive a window instead of an archive. Where are my memories?
In the folder you chose during setup, as ordinary files with their real dates and captions on them. They open in Files, they copy anywhere, and they stay exactly where they are if you delete the app.
What does the one-time purchase include?
The rescue is free and stays free: the import, the restored dates and places, the captions laid back down, the files in your own folder. I paid, and a new phone shows the app as locked
Open the unlock screen and choose Restore Purchases. The purchase belongs to your Apple Account, so it follows you to any device signed in with it.
